D.O.C.G. stands for “Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita” – the highest tier of origin in Italian wine law. The Greco di Tufo is one of the few white wines of Italy with this classification.

Yes. The vineyards around the village of Tufo lie on volcanic tufa rock, which lends the wine a fine mineral thread and tension. Together with altitude and cool nights this creates its characteristic structure – freshness with depth.

Perfect with fish dishes, seafood, cheese and risotto — and surprisingly good with mozzarella di bufala. With its structure the Greco accompanies delicate cooking without drowning it; serve it well chilled at around 10 °C in a white wine glass.
